Exercise!

Remember to exercise at least three times a week kids!

Now is the best time because it's so nice out!

Bike until you can't feel your legs! Run until you feel like jelly! Do sit-ups until you want to scream in agony!

All are good methods to combat the wait on your laundry!

Or we can just make a thread about exercise and virtually talk about it...

@Rahn: Yes the computer wins because when it crashes and has driver problems and dependency hell we just accept it. If a console has that, then it's considered trash (except if it's the 360, then the xbotism will kick in and the 13 year old white southern boys will call you nigger).

ANYWAY, so what's everyone's favorite form of exercise!?

So I took my kid on a bike ride yesterday. There is an infant seat that you can put on bicycles and so we went for a short ride and my inner thighs are killing me. Oh I am soooooo outta shape. But my son and I try to go outside everyday. He likes to run around the yard and explore and I follow him. He's so cute!

Anyways I likes biking! It's not as easy as walking but it sure as hell beats running!

DDR happens to be my favorite form of exercise. I actually lost weight when I was doing that. Hey, who doesn't like having organized spasms in front of a TV screen that will tell you if you're better than everyone else ?

I love DDR!!!

I do miss DDR, it always sucked not ever actually owning one and just playing everyone else's.


Well, since people told what their exercise is, I'll tell you mine!

In the morning when I wake up I usually like to do a quick yoga or tai-chi routine to stretch followed by a quick set of push-ups, sit-ups and squats to wake my muscles up.

Sometime after breakfast settles I do a warm-up routine of some kung-fu line forms or some other comparable martial art routine, usually I do this with 20 to 30 pounds weights and then perform the maneuvers as slow as I can.

Then after the warm-up I usually go running a mile or so with Gizmo, bike for two miles as fast as I can in 21st gear, or if the weather isn't permitting I just do whatever else I can think of to get my heart going.

Then after the cardio, I usually move into whatever anaerobic exercise I feel like for the day. Usually this is bench pressing 80 pounds (unfortunately this is all the weights I own) 10 times for three sets followed by curls at 80 pounds five times for two (three if I push it) sets. On off days I do ab work by doing holds, partial, fulls, rotations, all to failure, all on a declined plane with five or ten pounds of weight, finally ending by going out to the garage to do as many leg raises as I can.


Out of all that the only one I truly enjoy (I find most exercise to be quite dull when it's done merely for itself) is the martial art routines, it just feels good and is fun to zone out to some surround sound techno to.

so for those that dont want to read that massive paragraph xanders excersies include:

1. ass kicking
2. kicking ass
3. kickass ing
4. stretches
5. take downs
6. breaking arms
7. indian burns

and that sums up xanders day any questions? (linux is in there to but i do not wish to upset the kernal overlord)

So if you couldn't tell from my posts this morning I got up at five. I was feeling up for some exercise in the morning dew so I jogged up to Anytime Fitness (I have a thing there now), worked out for two hours with the random career ladies that would come in before work and then jogged back and took a nap because the patch wouldn't be up for a while. =(

On that thought, why do I only hear mourning doves in the mornings?
