Huh. Just throwing the info out there. Not sure what to think about it yet.

So I have just finished watching what's out of all the new anime in Japan. This includes the following:
Fairy Tail Yumeiro Patissiere Tegami Bachi Book of Bantorra 11eyes Darker than Black 2 Shin Kohime Muso Kimi ni Todoke Sasameki Koto Tentai Senshi Sunred Season 2 Kobato Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2 Sora no Otoshimono Natsu no Arashi Akinai-chuu Miracle Train Nyan Koi Seitokai no Ichizon Inuyasha: The Final Act The Sacred Blacksmith Shugo Chara Party! White Album 2 To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Kampfer Asura Cryin' 2 Queen's Blade: Gyokuza no Tsugumono
And I watched the premiere of Monster on SyFy.
And while I don't know if I can say this season was better than last season for anime, I can say there's less stand outs; either good or bad. Most of it was only okay, and some was rather bad, but there were some good ones. Others I'm on the fence about, in fact I don't know if I want to follow any of this.
Maybe after I think on it some more I'll post some brief observations and thoughts on each one.
Though for some reason I get the feeling I should watch Kampfer with Justin, there's just something about that show, and I can't quite figure it out.
On another note: My brain hurts.

Shows (Of the new shit) that I'm at least semi-interested in:
Kampfer (Aside from the main characrter genderswapping...It's about girls...fighting?) A Certain Scientific Railgun (To Aru No Kagaku Railgun) Yasher: THE END Sasameki Koto The Sacred Blacksmith Seitokai no Ichizon (Which ever one of those is the next part of Kiddy Grade)
Also, I've heard good things about Darker than Black. ...Maybe I'll give that a shot someday.

I wouldn't bother with Sasameki Marshall, it's not the Yuri-fanservice fest you want it to be. Instead it's a very touching and paced romantic shoujo anime that is well thought out with it's real-life problems and characters you can (almost) believe in. Definitely the surprise of the season. Way outside of the maturity level of your average /a/tard.
And as for Yasher, holy shit it's unforgiving. I mean seriously, if anyone remembers or even knew in the first place WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON, please tell me, or just about anyone who has watched the two new episodes. Though those episodes are really good as far as Yasher goes, they progressed more than the last hundred did, and I really hope they get this to America really fast.
What you should see/read before Railgun is To Aru Majutsu no Index, as Railgun is really just a spin-off of Index and is more or less fanservice in the form of giving the spotlight to the most popular character for a twelve episode run.
The sacred Blacksmith was sooooo bland, like seriously, it wasn't good or bad, it was just there, making me wonder if I was getting tunnel vision or if the anime was making me go comatose with how extraordinarily normal it was for your typical fantasy anime romp.
Don't even bother with Seitokai, it's bad, it made twenty minutes feel like an hour of hell. The beginning of the first episode is the best it gets and right away it makes a bunch of obscure references and makes fun of itself (they're right though, their show does suck) and generally has no story and a bunch of self-defeating conversations that lack any sort of humor. Reminds me a lot of Lucky Star, except somehow worse.
Darker than Black is really good, it's definitely one of those animes I'll be purchasing when possible. The first series has been out for a little while, I think I may need to pick it up sometime.
"Kiddy Girl-and" or whatever the fuck they are calling it now isn't out until the 15/16th.
And Kampfer is one of my personal favorites, this I've decided. Not that it's particularly good, but because I imagine the soul of the anime would look like a giant troll face, staring deep into your very soul and making you want to tell it to get the fuck out. For realsies, this anime pisses me off in such miraculous ways, it's stupid in the best way possible. I mean suicide stuffed animals? How much better can you get?
