PostSubject: Re: XANDERRRRR D;<   22/12/08, 07:48 pm

I'm back on my home connection, and it's giving me all sorts of grief. Supposedly, I have an "exellent" (5/5 signal bar strength) wireless connection to a router that supposedly gives 54 mbps. However, when I try to load pages, like this one, it takes about a minute per page...when I go to play games, like Guild Wars, it has me downloading oftentimes at 0KB per second. The result is, surfing the web is arduous at best, and playing games is downright impossible. Is there any logical
[, simple] explanation

PostSubject: Re: XANDERRRRR D;<   22/12/08, 11:05 pm

alright

this normally works for me

one of 2 things try the first one first obviously

turn you wireless on your computer off for a few minutes then try again... restart if that doesnt work

if those 2 dont work use the clean up function on your computer it should get rid of uneccesary garbage that would speed you up a bit

defrag after a clean up always...

lemme know if it works

i have messed with wireless lots so i can use it downstairs and anywhere in my home even though the router is in my neighboors house!

Well, I'll give it a shot, but I think the problem is more with the internet itself, as the downstairs desktop computer is likewise slow.

Hm, it could be the fault of your actual internet provider?

XANDERRRR!!!!

Favor to ask...

By chance, could you some how find me a non-virus / glitchy version of Fraps?

Meaning, Full retail version? :D

I don't like the 30 second clips at all... D:

And I don't want to pay the $37 for it either... >:O

@Justin: Yeah I know right can you believe people think this shit is cool? Personally I enjoy not having my desktop look like I slit my wrists every day and I also enjoy having some stability to me OS explorer system so it doesn't crash every few seconds when I look through files.

@Ben: Go home, either use VirtualDub with a screen capture device driver or use a rapid fire BMP screenshot program with a BMP to AVI converter or pay the damn $37 (what is that like a DS game?).

If it's not worth the time for the first or second and it's not worth the money for the second, then why the hell do you wanna do it anyway?

No I will not pirate (or crack) you fraps, I pirate enough crap for you guys already. =P

And for the hundreth time, what do you wanna record so bad that you won't tell me about anyway? Gonna try and make some kinky machina?? eh? eh? More Kael'Thas schenanigans? Gonna go do it with your druid in the general channel?

=D

No, basically for recording guild raids, and posting in LS Forums, and random stuff, like proving druids are OP, etc.

Interesting, well maybe I'll see if I can't hook you up with something, sometime.

If not to just record decent god damn raid videos without loud ass power metal and no sound.
