| well we also need to note that world of warcraft is a pve game they dont build it for pvp which is why pvp is so bullshit the only way that blizzard could fix this is to get rid of all CC, stuns, fears, and immunity things then everyone would be like the shaman and then they would be fine learn to play! | |

| I did my first full run of Naxx to night, and I got three upgrades. Oh, and I also ALMOST didn't die on Heigan for the first time. I literally died the very last second of the last dance. I was soooo close.
Good times. :) | |

| Nice going Amanda, I guess I'll have to start playing again and try to catch up, lol.
And Justin, the whole built for PVE thing reminds me of a lot of MUDs I've played, where fights between players at high levels are basically ridiculous (fourteen hits on on attack, four attacks per turn, also healing most of what's incoming), mainly because you're geared toward fighting huge monsters with millions of hitpoints.
And it really brings up the point of how toned down a PVP environment usually is, I think the best way to illustrate it is Dynasty Warriors = PVE and Street Fighter = PVP.
And all the while they say they don't want to segregate the classes into two separate entities, one being PVE and the other being PVP, yet they're basically creating a soft partition with their own attempts to balance out one side versus the other.
I wonder if Blizzard will apply some of the hard lessons they've learned through WoW in their "next-gen MMO."

| Well it's not Starcraft Warcraft or Diablo, and for some reason I doubt they'll go with a typical generic fantasy settings ala Guild Wars or something.
So I think whatever it will be will prolly rule 16, that's just my prediction.

| OH HAPPY DAY... maybe. lol. I was lurking the WoW forums and I saw a thread that said this: - Quote :
- Why is the only path to level 80 questing and PvE grinding when, for
some, leveling through battlegrounds would be a much better experience? When will Blizzard ever allow experience through PvP? The response from the Blizzard poster was this: - Quote :
- It's something we're very interested in doing. I'm confident you'll find out more soon. :)
God, I would be so happy if I could get XP from PvP. I mean, I'm not a total whore for it or anything... but I certainly do enjoy it. My alts would probably level a lot faster if members from the enemy faction awarded XP.

| It would certainly make sense, especially since PvP already gives gear and whatnot, it could be a great alternative to PvE questing if it gave experience, though the big problem is that it could be extraordinarily easy to exploit, which is why they typically don't do it in most MMORPG's I've played.
But as always, there's ways to fix that.

| TWINKS WOULD DIE! HAHAHAHAHA....
But yes, it would be waaaaay to easy to exploit. Mainly, oh hey, my friend created a toon of the opposite faction on a realm within the same battle group, let's go sit in a corner and gank each other.
If it was where you gained a certain amount for a victory, or had to choose before you entered the bg which one you wanted, Xp or honor, it'd work a little better me thinks?

| The best implementation I've seen is one where you can only get experience once a day from each respective person, that of course slows the exploitation down quite a bit, though it was done on a game where one person only had one character, and no factions, etc etc.
A better way would be to simply have quests that require you to do certain PvP related things, like more than simply killing, kinda like the battleground quests.
And I would hope that the experience would stay optional, otherwise I would think a lot of people who enjoy twinking would cry tears of distress.

| Scott (a warrior from my guild) and I tried to 2-man Flame Lev on hard mode tonight.
We cleared all the trash and took out all the towers, and then got him down to 75%. We ended up dying epically because we couldn't take out the turrets.
(flame lev has been 2-manned before, but the guy on the turrets was ranged so he could do both. They were also probably in Ulduar 25 gear. Scott and I are in Naxx. lol.)

Some people who were on, mainly smite, was curious why everyone hated her, after some explanations, I pointed out the factor that made it a unanimous g-kick for her...
SHE DISSED FLEUR, nough said.

so a 3 person run just is not in the cards Pshhhhhhhhhht, have faith, Justin! I'm in naxx 10 gear, and scott was in half naxx 10 half pvp gear, and we got him down to 75%. If you're in naxx 25 gear, and ben is decently geared, and you get Xander a few pieces of gear once he hits 80 you'll do GREAT. You just need to be persistant and not mind spending gold on repairs. HAVE. FAITH. Oh yeah, and since the health of the tanks is based on item level, if I were you Xander I'd start doing battlegrounds and hoarding honor points. That way once you hit 80 you can just go dump it all into a few nice pieces of PvP gear and you'll be good to go. ;D EDIT: also, if one of you are ranged DPS (i dont remember what you guys play) you'll do waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than me and Scott did because you'll actually be able to take out the effing turrets.
