Ouch. Question though, why is that you bring you laptops wherever you go? Second question, why are you always using them when you arrive? Thirdly, how are you always so fortunate as to find internet connections? :dizzy:

In other news, I think it's safe to say that we're all bored. We need something to talk about...Say, it's been awhile since someone's hosted a party hasn't it (dnd related or otherwise)?

Hahahahahha ... well Ryan ... I do NOT own a laptop. My work has 2 computers in the break room. They are used for clocking in and out, and for entertainment. So that kind of explains ... everything lol.

And Yes ... yes I am bored. How are you Ryan?

Lol. I'm doing ok. Right now i'm strapped down to my parent's laptop filling out a 4-H scholarship for $1000.00 (if I win). Honestly, it's not that hard (a max of two typed pages of community service, leadership, and etc that i've done) but I just do not focus as well as I used to for some reason.

However, in other news, I just realized that I forgot to tell everyone that I've got a new laptop (yes, it is my laptop)! Woohoo! At 4GB of ram, it is now officially the fastest computer in the house. *sniff* i'm so proud!

Ya, I've been looking for a job for a long time now, but nobody seems to want to hire me =(. Probably think i'm going to ditch them when collage starts and leave them hiring again (which would probably have been true actually). In any case, I'm not acrueing any money right now (hence the scholarship. Mmm, free money *homer simpson drooling noises*).

I should probably just hurry and finish up.

Its called getting five hours a sleep a night. ;]

I have superhuman abilities when it comes to homework.
This is how it goes:
1] Procrastinate.
2] Procrastinate more.
3] Consider doing homework.
4] More procrastination.
6] Realize that its 10:00/11:00 PM; get started on homework.
7] Work until approximately 1:00 AM
8] Sleep.

Its a nice, convenient schedule, really. Hahaha.

But in all seriousness, when it comes to homework I tend to get stuff done quickly. I've always worked really fast, and once I do get started I tend to shoot through it all at once. Even if its a project I have weeks to work on, if I start on it then 9 out of 10 times I'll sit and work on it until its done. I get very absorbed in my work. This allows me to put things off until the last minute, and know I'll always be alright.

And then I have random pockets of free time, like earlier today, when I have an hour/two hour break between my classes. And though I could do homework during that time while I'm sitting in the student lounge, I prefer not to because I like to be sure I have enough time to finish whatever I've started. So instead I just wait until I'm home to work.

So the workload in college really isn't all that bad, as long as you know how to manage it.

You know what is very flattering, but at the same time kind of a pain?

When you're told to write a paper for English, and then bring it in for a peer revision session when multiple people read and critique your paper, and then you are expected to take said paper and revise it on said critiques. So you do so. You bring in the paper, three different people read and critique the paper, and when you sit down at home to rewrite it, you notice that the ONLY critique you got was to revamp your attention-getter.

Seriously. Three people "critiqued" me but all I got was praise, and one suggestion to rewrite the first sentence of the entire paper. (this is something that I knew I had to do anyway, because it was crap. IMO, the whole intro was garbage... but at the time I was writing it I couldn't think of something better so I went with it since it wasn't the one being handed it.)

Like I said, flattering... but frustrating. We have to turn in our draft and the critiques with our final, so Mike can compare them and see how well we developed our papers after getting our peers' input.

And on a side note - no this wasn't a rant.
Haha, it may have come off that way, but I'm really not bothered by this.

All the people who had me critique their papers were probably like Randomness - Page 13 242407 after they got it back. I'm sitting there correcting their spelling, punctuation, grammer... telling them to rewrite their entire intros and conclusions because they don't really pertain to the rest of their paper... crap like that. lol. PostSubject: Re: Randomness   Randomness - Page 13 Empty06/08/08, 01:50 pm

One Question: Why did the chicken cross the road?

BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!

JOHN
MC CAIN: My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he
recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the
chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First Lady, I personally helped that
little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely
qualified to ensure -- right from Day One! -- that every chicken in
this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then,
this really isn't about me.......

DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't
realize that he must first deal with the problem on 'THIS' side of the
road before it goes after the problem on the 'OTHER SIDE' of the road.
What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not
taking on his 'CURRENT' problems before adding 'NEW' problems.

OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems,
which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having
the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of
life, I'm going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive
across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the
road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road,
or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle
ground here.

COLIN POWELL: Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road...

ANDERSON
COOPER - CNN: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have
not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I
am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled
about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain
against it.

NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's GUILTY! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA
STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going.
I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the
price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider
information.

DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a
toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not
been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain. Alone.

JERRY
FALWELL: Because the chicken was gay! Can't you people see the plain
truth?' That's why they call it the 'other side.' Yes, my friends, that
chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay too. I
say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this abomination that the
liberal media white washes with seemingly harmless phrases like 'the
other side. That chicken should not be crossing the road. It's as plain
and as simple as that.

GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road.
Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good
enough.

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few
moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time,
the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of
molting, and went on to accomplish its life long dream of crossing the
road.

ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

JOHN LENNON: Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

BILL
GATES: I have just released eChicken2007, which will not only cross
roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance
your check book. Internet Explorer is an integral part of the Chicken.
This new platform is much more stable and will never
cra...#@&&^(C% ........ reboot.

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What is your definition of chicken?

AL GORE: I invented the chicken!

COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white? We need some black chickens.
